The maps show the distribution by country of potential route hijacks in the region for the past month. A prefix is considered to have been hijacked if it has been assigned to an organization but is being announced by another. To know if a prefix has been assigned to an organization, we rely on the information contained in ROAs obtained from the FORT and Routinator validators. In this context, victims are the countries that have suffered the potential hijacking of their prefixes and offenders are the countries to which the autonomous system that originates a potential hijack belongs. The darker the color, the higher the rate of hijacks. The last tab shows the details of potential hijacks or suspicious announcements grouped by unique Prefix/Origin AS.
